Safety engineering or fire and safety engineering or industrial safety engineering As the name suggests, this engineering discipline refers to the safety part of engineering. Safety engineers main aspect is to ensure the safety of equipment, working area and its employees in any industry, even if some safety systems fail. Fire and safety engineers apply their expertise by managing emergency field-operations and designing safer buildings, as well as improving on safety gear and procedures.

Eligibility

A pass in 12th with a minimum percentage of 50. ( 45 % for SC/ST)

Must have studied 12TH with PCM or PCBM combination.

 

Admission Procedure

Have to attend the Entrance Exam conducted by the concerned university.

Admission counseling will be conducted by the institutions after the publication of Entrance Exam result.

Scope of Safety Engineering

As the industries are growing day by day, the demand for safety engineering is also growing. The safety engineer can get a job in any industry, but the main demand for safety engineers are in manufacturing industries, petroleum industries, mining industries, and construction industries.

One can expect a good salary after the completion of safety engineering.

 

 

Fees

Average fees for fire and safety engineering starts from 1 lakhs per year to 4 lakhs per year.

 

Course Duration

The duration of safety engineering is 4 years divided into 8 semesters.

 

 

Salary / Package-

Package for safety engineers starts from 3 lakhs per year on average. But some students have seen getting a package more than 10 lakhs.
