What is a BSc (Bachelor of Science) course?

BSC is the foundation course and degree for all the students who want to make a bright career in the Science field irrespective of their desired job in this field.

Here BSC full form or meaning is Bachelors of Science which students can pursue after their successful completion of 12th or senior secondary examination in the science stream.

The desired subject of the students decides the BSC course type for them such as BSC physics, BSC computer science, BSC biology, BSC mathematics, BSC chemistry etc.

BSC or Bachelor of Science is the most popular bachelor’s degree after the 12th or senior secondary examination.

There are numerous career advantages and options available for the graduates of the BSC course.

Bachelors of Science is a three-year degree program offered by numerous universities and colleges in India.

BSC course prepares the professionals in the science, computer and relative fields.

The degree of BSC course is flexible to pursue so the student can pursue it in both ways – full time or part-time.

There are two main options students can select to pursue BSC courses –

  1. General BSC
  2. BSC Honours

Who should join?

Students who want to make a career in the science and information technology field can apply for the BSC degree course.

There are a number of courses in BSC that a student can choose from to study based on their desired career.

The bachelor’s of science course is classified into two sections – BSC general or pass and BSC honours.

Students who want to focus on major one subject can choose BSC honours.

The syllabus and curriculum of BSC honours are designed to have more concern on the honours subjects as well as it includes subjects depending on the elective subjects.

If the students want to focus on theoretical, practical and research skills they should join the BSC honours course.

In other cases, the BSC general degree course concerns the basic knowledge of all the major science subjects such as physics, chemistry etc.

if the student wants to have less rigorous but theoretical and practical components of the field they should join the BSC general program.

So students who want to study various science subjects should opt for their respective BSC course. some top BSc courses are listed below.
