AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is a university-level law entrance exam conducted by National Law University, Delhi for admission to B.A. LL.B (Hons.), and LL.M and Ph.D. programs. Nearly 20,000 law aspirants register each year.

 

Important dates of AILET

  • Issue of notification- 4th January
  • Availability of application form- 4th January
  • Last date to fill application form- 8th April
  • Downloading of admit card- 22nd April
  • Exam date- 5th May 2019 (10:00 AM- 11:30 AM)
  • Declaration of result B.A.L.L.B (Hons.)- 24th May
  • Date of issue of a admission letter (1st list)- 2th may
  • Last Date to deposit fee (1st list)- 13th June
  • Date for spot counseling for vacant seats- 25th June
  • Last date for depositing fee for the candidates selected in spot counseling- 5th July
  • Closing date for Admission- 25th July
  • Interview of selected candidates- last week of July
  • Orientation Program- last week of July
  • Start of session/classes- 1st August
  • Declaration of result LLM- 2nd July
  • Declaration of result Ph.D.- 16th July

 

Eligibility for AILET

Eligibility Criteria for LLB Program:

  • Intermediate graduates (10+2) with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates appearing in class 12 exam in March/April are eligible to apply for AILET 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for LLM Course:

  • LLB Graduates or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (In case of SC/ST/PHY HANDI it is 50% marks)
  • Candidates in their last year of LLB can also apply

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D course:

  • LL.M. Degree holders with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability)

Mode of application for AILET

For ALIET Mode of Application is through online only.

Application Fees for AILET

The category wise details of AILET 2019 Application Fee are given below.

 

  • General/ OBC- 3050
  • SC/ ST/ PwD- 1050
  • SC/ ST (Below poverty line)- Exempted

 

Mode of Application Fees payment for AILET

  • The application fee can be paid via Credit Card/ Debit Card and Net Banking mode.
  • Making payment through card, provide card no., and the expiry date.
  • Candidates paying via Net banking will be forwarded to the respective bank’s site where your account details are verified and payment is approved.

Mode of exam for AILET

Mode of Examination for AILET is Offline. (Pen & Paper)

 

Hall Ticket / Admit card for AILET

The examination authority will issue AILET Admit Card from April 22, 2019.

The document will be available online at nludelhi.ac.in.

Stepwise procedure to download admit card for AILET 2019 comprises of following steps:

 

Step 1: Visit the official website of AILET 2019 – NLU Delhi.

Step 2: Enter your name and date of birth or the issued application number.

Step 3: Take a print out of your AILET Admit Card.

Step 4: Save e-admit card for future reference.

 

Exam centers for AILET

AILET is held in 21 cities across India. They can choose an AILET exam center while filling up the online form. The final allotted exam center is mentioned in AILET Admit Card.

Exam pattern for AILET

The paper pattern defined by the conducting body, NLU Delhi. AILET Exam Pattern for each of the BA LLB, LLM and Ph.D Programs is different. Following gives a brief pattern that is common to all the programs.

  • Mode of examination- offline
  • Question Paper type- Objective
  • Marking Scheme- Correct Scheme-+1 Marks, Wrong Answer- -0.25 Mark
  • Duration of Examination- 90 Minutes
  • Total Number of Question- 150 Questions (LLB/LLM)

100 Questions (Ph.D. Prog.)

  • Medium of Examination- English

Exam duration for AILET

For AILET exam the duration will be 90 minutes.

Negative Marking for AILET

yes, negative marking will be there for AILET EXAM. for each wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Result and Counseling for AILET

Result-

  • AILET Result is announced on the official website of NLU Delhi i.e. nludelhi.ac.in.
  • The results will be available only in the online mode in PDF format.
  • NLU releases result according to different categories.
  • You need to search for your name in the list in the PDF.
  • Along with the result, it also releases AILET Merit Lists.

Tips and tricks for AILET

It is highly advised by the Dhanishta to subscribe to magazines such as Pratiyogita Darpan. These magazines will help a lot for the AILET 2019 preparation. These magazines give a deep insight of the AILET 2020 exam. Students can get magazines from the local store or buy them directly from the books given above. Students generally feel afraid of the mathematics section in the AILET exam. However, students must not worry and prepare confidently for the AILET 2019 exam. Tical reasoning, the students must gain their factual knowledge. For the syllogisms statement assumptions, start with study IQ videos of the important mathematics topics. Legal Aptitude section consists of legal reasoning and legal General Knowledge. For this section, she has advanced to keep on solving the sample papers as they will shape you rightly for the section. Skim through the past papers. Surprisingly she advises just to skim through the papers and solve the recurring questions. The students should make sure they have been through the mock tests.
